Marlon Humphrey made his return to action in the Baltimore Ravens’ home game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Humphrey missed the Ravens’ previous two contests due to a non-contact calf injury suffered against the Cleveland Browns last month. He ended up being a full participant in each of Baltimore’s practice sessions last week, and he was not issued any game status designation for Week 14.
Humphrey did not have much to go his way against the Rams, including in Los Angeles' final drive of the fourth quarter. The veteran cornerback allowed a 19-yard reception to Demarcus Robinson and a 34-yard catch to Cooper Kupp on a drive that culminated with Rams kicker Lucas Havrisik connecting on a game-tying 36-yard field goal.
To top it all off, Humphrey dropped what would have been a game-ending interception in the end zone.
According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Humphrey allowed a total of 92 yards in coverage against the Rams, which was a team-high and also a season-high for the three-time Pro Bowler.
Humphrey sure will look to put together a bounce-back performance in Baltimore’s upcoming road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He may be called on to cover either Zay Jones or Calvin Ridley in the contest.
