Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe believes that there is cause for concern with the Baltimore Ravens’ new-look offense.

Baltimore’s offense received plenty of hype during the offseason, especially after team general manager Eric DeCosta bolstered the unit with the additions of Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers. He also brought in Todd Monken to fill the team’s offensive coordinator vacancy.

The Ravens do rank outside of the top 10 in points per game (23.7) this season. However, Baltimore’s offense has been quite an efficient one in the ongoing campaign, as it ranks in the top five in both third down conversion percentage (51.1 percent) and red zone touchdown percentage (72.7 percent).

Nonetheless, Sharpe is not necessarily convinced by Baltimore’s offense, especially following its sluggish showing in the team’s Week 3 home defeat to the Indianapolis Colts.

"I don't see the ooh la la that everybody told me I should expect from Todd Monken," Sharpe said during Monday’s airing of ESPN’s "First Take" program. "I see the same offense that I saw the last couple of years under the last OC. … Lamar is going to have to do a better job, and Kenyan Drake gonna have to do a better job of protecting the football.

"I didn't see anything I was expecting to see, Lamar push the ball down the field. I was expecting to see these formations, a lot of different a lot of trickery. … I see the same offense that everybody was tired of seeing over the last four years. I see no exoticness to this offense."

The Lamar Jackson-led Ravens offense will be in for quite a test in Week 4, as it will meet a Cleveland Browns defense that currently leads the NFL in points per game allowed (10.7).
