After missing the last three practices, there is a positive update on Baltimore Ravens star tight end Mark Andrews.
Andrews is currently dealing with an undisclosed issue that has kept him sidelined. But with a good update from Jim Harbaugh, Ravens fans can be relieved.
“You don’t need to panic about that,” Harbaugh said. “Tell the fans it’s going to be OK. He should be out there practicing next week. I expect him to play in the game and he should be fine. That’s where we’re at with that.”
The expectation is that Andrews will be returning to practice next week in preparation for the Houston Texans. Ravens host the Texans on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. to kick off their season.
While the Texans certainly wouldn’t be the biggest of games that Andrews could miss, it’s a positive that he will be out there to begin the season.
In 15 games last season, Andrews had 847 receiving yards and five touchdowns. In the past, Andrews has been the focal point of the offense when they’re passing the ball. While Lamar Jackson has some new targets like Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor, and Zay Flowers — the All-Pro tight end is still going to be as important as ever.
Ravens fans can relax with the latest update from Harbaugh, as all will be fine with the stud tight end.
