Jadeveon Clowney is set to once again hit free agency next month.

Clowney signed off on a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens last August, and he went on to surpass expectations in the 2023 season. He played an instrumental role in helping the Ravens lead the NFL in sacks in the year. He tallied 9.5 sacks to go along with 19 quarterback hits over 17 regular season games played.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was much pleased with Clowney's 2023 campaign, and he is hopeful that the veteran pass rusher will not leave Baltimore in the coming month.

"Just ran into the agent for Jadeveon Clowney, just walking in the street, he grabbed me," Harbaugh told BaltimoreRavens.com’s Garrett Downing. "… I said, 'What do you think, how'd he do this year.'

"And he goes, 'This is the first year he's ended the season happy.' That says so much right there, it says so much for everything, for everybody in the organization. Maybe we can get him back."

Harbaugh added that the Ravens are "going to try" to re-sign Clowney.

Clowney has made clear that he is open to the possibility of remaining on with the Ravens. He noted last month that he "would love to come back here."

It remains to be seen whether Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta will push to keep Clowney in Baltimore.
