Kenyan Drake has made his return to the Baltimore Ravens organization.
The Ravens announced on Wednesday that Drake has signed with their practice squad.
Drake took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to rejoining the current AFC North leaders.
Drake was among three running backs who the Ravens brought in for a workout on Wednesday. Baltimore also worked out James Robinson and Ronald Jones, and in the end, the decision was made to sign the seventh-year veteran.
The Ravens’ call to bring in Drake comes over a week after the team lost J.K. Dobbins for the remainder of the season. Dobbins tore his Achilles during Baltimore’s regular season opener against the Houston Texans. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh noted during a press conference on Sept. 11 that the team did not have plans to sign a running back outside of the organization, but Baltimore has now changed course on this matter.
Drake featured in 12 regular season games with the Ravens last year, where he tallied 482 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. He wound up signing with the Indianapolis Colts in August, but he failed to make their initial 53-man roster.
It will be noteworthy to see whether the Ravens will place Drake on their 53-man roster ahead of their Week 3 home matchup against the Colts.
