Lamar Jackson put together quite a performance in the Baltimore Ravens’ 36-8 win over the Detroit Lions.

Jackson anchored five touchdown drives against the current NFC North leaders, with four of them coming in the first half. Whether it was in the air or on the ground, Jackson had his way against a Lions defense that entered Week 7 tied with the Houston Texans for ninth in points per game allowed with an 18.8 average.

Former Ravens wide receiver Dez Bryant, who made a name for himself in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, tuned in to watch Baltimore's statement victory over Detroit. The former All-Pro wideout took to X, formerly known as Twitter, during the game to back Jackson as a candidate for this season’s NFL MVP award.

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is also among those who believe that Jackson deserves to be in the conversation for the NFL’s most prestigious individual honor.

Overall, Jackson finished with 357 passing yards and four total touchdowns against Detroit.

Jackson has now tallied 13 total touchdowns this season, including five rushing scores.

Jackson’s odds for the 2023 AP NFL MVP award sure will skyrocket after Week 7.
