Lamar Jackson had quite an injury scare during the Baltimore Ravens’ home win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jackson appeared to have suffered a minor ankle injury during the first quarter of the divisional contest. He was slow to get up following an incompletion on a crucial third down play.

Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson brought Jackson down to the ground at the end of the play. It was Wilson who completed the hip-drop tackle that injured Mark Andrews’ ankle earlier in the contest.

Jackson was able to walk over to the medical tent on his own power following the play. After he touched base with the team’s medical staff and tested his ankle on the sideline, he ended up remaining in the game.

While there was a bit of worry regarding his ankle, Jackson himself did not have much concern that he sustained a serious injury.

"I was trying to get back out there," Jackson said during his postgame press conference. "I’m telling them [the trainers], ‘I’m good.’ They’re going to do what they do to try to get us back out on the field as fast as they can, but I’m good."

Jackson did not appear to aggravate his minor ankle ailment over the remainder of the game. He did treat his ankle on the sideline by wrapping a heating pad on it, but he did not miss a single offensive snap due to it.

Jackson now hopes that his injury scare will not be a storyline heading into Baltimore’s upcoming road matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

"We need to stop talking about this ankle," Jackson said. "I’m good."

Jackson threw a pair of touchdown passes in the Ravens' 34-20 win over Cincinnati.
