Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen?

That has been one of the biggest questions throughout the last few weeks of the regular season.

But, it seems that it might have been officially answered.

On Friday, the Associated Press released their All-Pro first team and second team. Lamar Jackson was picked as the top quarterback in the league with 30 first-place votes, followed by Allen with 18.

So with that, it officially means that Jackson is the frontrunner to win his third NFL MVP.

And, according to ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg, the quarterback who was named First Team All-Pro also won the NFL MVP in each season going back to 2013.

Jackson won the MVP for the 2023 season, but has surpassed the numbers he put up last year. As of now, he has 316 completions for 4,172 passing yards and 41 passing touchdowns along with 139 carries for 915 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. And there's still plenty of football left to play with the playoffs beginning.

However, Jackson's competition has also been having an incredible year. Allen has 307 completions for 3,731 passing yards and 28 passing touchdowns along with 102 carries for 531 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.

Based simply on statistics, it's no surprise that Jackson is the front-runner. But other things are factored in the decision.

Yet, in the end, there is no denying that the Ravens quarterback comes out on top.

Aaron Rodgers was the last play to win back-to-back AP NFP MVP Awards in 2020 and 2021. But now, it's Jackson's turn.
