The Baltimore Ravens entered this year's offseason in need of reinforcements at the wide receiver position. The Ravens ended up turning to both the 2023 NFL Draft and the free agency period to address this matter, as they brought in Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham Jr., and Nelson Agholor.

If Marlon Humphrey had his way, Antonio Brown would have also joined the Ravens.

Humphrey revealed on his "Punch Line with Marlon Humphrey" podcast that during the offseason, he reached out to Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta about the possibility of the team signing the former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout.

"I texted him this offseason, I was like 'Yo, we should sign Antonio Brown," Humphrey said. "I'm like, 'Yo EDC like I'm telling you like we should sign Antonio Brown. He was like, 'Would you ever let your son go to Auburn?' I was sitting there thinking like, I mean, and then it was like, he did not even entertain that thought.

"I still think, AB still AB probably right now at whatever age he is."

Brown has not played in the NFL since his run with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came to a dramatic end during the 2021 season. Brown took off his gear and ran off the field during the Buccaneers’ road game against the New York Jets. He later noted that he abruptly left the game because of disagreements with the team over the handling of his ankle injury.

Brown was linked with the Ravens in the weeks after his release from the Buccaneers, but DeCosta shut down such a possibility in Feb. 2022.

Anything can happen in the unpredictable world of the NFL, but it sure is highly unlikely that Brown will ever don a Ravens jersey.
