Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta may not be done just yet in bolstering Baltimore's offense this year.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted on Friday that Zach Ertz cleared waivers a mere day after he was waived by the Arizona Cardinals. Ertz is now an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.

Schefter added that the Philadelphia Eagles are "expected to have interest" in a reunion with Ertz, who wants to sign with a contending team. The veteran tight end opened up his career with the Eagles, where he spent nine seasons and recorded 38 touchdown catches.

The NFL insider also speculated that teams such as the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills could emerge as contenders to sign Ertz.

The Ravens are currently relying on Isaiah Likely to be their starting tight end. Likely took hold of this starting spot after Mark Andrews suffered a reported cracked fibula and ankle ligament injury during Baltimore’s home matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals last month.

Andrews underwent surgery on his ankle last week, and Baltimore placed him on the injured reserve list on Saturday.

While Andrews was initially deemed to have sustained a season-ending injury against Cincinnati, the Ravens have not ruled out the possibility of the three-time Pro Bowler playing again this season. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said during a press conference last week that there "might be an outside chance" that Andrews could return to action during the ongoing campaign.

For now, Baltimore will continue to call on Likely to fill in for Andrews. Likely has notched 13 receptions for 129 receiving yards this season.
