The Baltimore Ravens have held meetings with multiple wide receivers at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine, including former Oregon standout Troy Franklin.
Franklin said during a press conference at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine that his meeting with the Ravens went "pretty cool." He added that he did not watch the Ravens much this past season, but has followed Lamar Jackson over the years. He could see himself blossoming under the two-time NFL MVP award winner.
"I think it'll be cool to play with Lamar," Franklin said at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. "I grew up watching him too. Fast guy, elusive. It'll be fun.
"I think I can help him a lot too, for sure, most definitely. Make his job easier, he will make my job easier."
Franklin also noted that Zay Flowers’ potent rookie campaign caught his attention, as he "liked what he [Flowers] was doing out there." Flowers, who was selected in the first round of last year’s NFL Draft, wound up leading the Ravens in both receptions and receiving yards this past season.
Franklin upped his draft stock during his final season at Oregon. He emerged as a go-to option for Oregon quarterback Bo Nix, tallying 81 receptions for 1,383 receiving yards. He also scored a career-high 14 receiving touchdowns.
