The Baltimore Ravens did not make it easy on themselves in Week 8, but they ultimately came away with a 31-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
The Ravens let the Cardinals hang around a bit in the fourth quarter. The Joshua Dobbs-led Cardinals offense orchestrated three scoring drives in the final quarter of the contest, but in the end, Baltimore did just enough to secure the win to move to a 6-2 record on the season.
The Ravens received good and bad news in Week 8. While the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns each did not pick up a win on Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals made it three wins in a row following their road victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
Nonetheless, the Ravens remain the betting favorite to win the AFC North even after they opted not to complete a move ahead of this season’s NFL trade deadline.
The Ravens are currently listed as the -130 favorite to win the AFC North for the first time in four seasons. The Steelers, who sit in second place in the AFC North, still hold the worst odds (+850) to take home the division title.
The Bengals are continuing to claw their way back into the AFC North race. They boast the second-best odds (+330) to finish the campaign atop the division standings.
Finally, the Browns have the third-best odds (+450) to surprise the NFL world and win the division.
The Ravens will return to M&T Bank Stadium in Week 9 with a home matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
