At last, the AFC Championship game will be played at a different place for the first time since 2017 next weekend.

The Baltimore Ravens ran past the Houston Texans thanks to a big second half. With that 34-10 win over Houston, Baltimore is set to host the AFC Championship next weekend.

It is the first time that the game will be played somewhere other than Kansas City. The last five of those games were all decided at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City’s competitiveness over the last few years is glaring with this statistic. If the Chiefs can defeat the Bills today, they’ll be given the task of traveling to take on the red-hot Ravens.

If you take out the final game of the season against the Steelers where the Ravens rested starters, they’ve won seven straight games. Baltimore hasn’t lost a game at full strength since Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns.

Lamar Jackson delivered a four-touchdown performance in front of the home crowd at M&T Bank Stadium against the Texans. Next week, the opposition will be even better so Baltimore will need another big performance from the MVP front-runner.

Either Buffalo or Kansas City are coming to Maryland next week and that’s quite the change for the NFL at this time of year. It is safe to say we are going to get an elite quarterback battle for the right to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
