Jadeveon Clowney surpassed expectations with the Baltimore Ravens this past season.

Clowney signed a one-year deal with the Ravens in August, and he went on to add another dimension to their already stout front seven. He played in all 17 of Baltimore’s regular season contests, and he tallied 9.5 sacks to go along with 19 quarterback hits.

Clowney also helped make life difficult for opposing rush offenses.

Clowney received a run defense grade of 74.6 from Pro Football Focus for the 2023 season — the second-highest such mark among all qualified Ravens defenders. He also ranked sixth on the team in total defensive stops with 17.

What would it cost the Ravens to keep Clowney?

Clowney will become an unrestricted free agent next month. He has expressed a willingness to stay put in Baltimore, so the ball sure is in team general manager Eric DeCosta’s court on this matter.

A to Z Sports projects a one-year, $10.5 million fully guaranteed contract for Clowney in free agency, which would be a bargain deal for Baltimore considering his potent production this past year.

If the Ravens decide to let Clowney walk in free agency, then the veteran pass rusher sure will at the least have a number of suitors line up to push to sign him.
