Baltimore Ravens safety Geno Stone (26) intercepts a pass intended for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (5) in the third quarter of a Week 2 NFL football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.

Multiple Baltimore Ravens players upped their game in the Week 2 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, including Geno Stone.

As the Ravens were without Marcus Williams due to his pec injury, they needed any defensive back to elevate their play in the divisional contest, and Stone wound up being that player. He tallied a team-high nine total tackles and one interception in Baltimore’s narrow three-point victory.

Stone’s potent performance against the Bengals earned him a spot on Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week for Week 2.

PFF handed Stone an overall player grade of 91.1 — the third-highest among all safeties in Week 2. The fourth-year defensive back played in all 60 of Baltimore’s snaps on defense in the game, and he allowed a mere 18 receiving yards in coverage. He also allowed a 42.1 passer rating when targeted mark.

Stone was quite pleased to have played an instrumental role in Baltimore’s first road win of the season.

"It means a lot to me," Stone said after the game. "It means a lot that these coaches trust me and put me in the position to be where I am right now. I've got a lot of trust in my guys, and my guys have got a lot of trust in me.

"So, I'm just happy I was out there and able to make the plays I could for this team and help them win."

Patrick Queen (83.3) was the only other qualified Ravens player on the defensive side of the ball who received an overall grade of at least 80.0 from PFF.
