The Baltimore Ravens have announced that Odell Beckham Jr. will miss the remainder of their Week 2 road matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals due to an ankle injury.
Beckham appeared to have suffered the injury after hauling in a 15-yard catch during the first quarter of the contest. The veteran wideout stayed in the game, but he later touched base with a team doctor on the sideline. He ended up missing multiple offensive plays in the first half but wound up returning to the field in the early stages of the second quarter.
The Ravens ultimately made the call during the third quarter to sideline Beckham for the rest of Week 2. Beckham was targeted four times against the Bengals, and he tallied three receptions for 29 receiving yards.
Beckham, who signed a one-year with the Ravens in the offseason, last dealt with an ankle injury in the days leading up to Baltimore's regular season opener against the Houston Texans. He was a limited participant in practice on Sept. 7 due to an ankle injury, but he was not issued any injury designation for Week 1.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will now be counting on the likes of Zay Flowers and Nelson Agholor to help lead the way on offense the rest of the way.
