Mark Andrews is set to make his long-awaited return to action.

Andrews was placed on the injured reserve list after he suffered a reported cracked fibula and ankle ligament injury during the Ravens’ home game against the Cincinnati Bengals in November. The Ravens designated Andrews to return from injured reserve on Jan. 12, and after watching the veteran tight end feature in practice all this week, the team opted to officially activate him off IR on Friday.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed on Friday that Andrews will play in the AFC title game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

On Andrews’ part, he is much looking forward to taking the field on Sunday.

"I love the Ravens," Andrews said on Friday. "I love this city. I’m going to give them everything I got."

It is up in the air as to just how many of Baltimore’s snaps on offense Andrews will take part in against the Chiefs. At the least, Baltimore will have Isaiah Likely ready to lead the way at the tight end position in the AFC title game. Likely has recorded four touchdown catches in Baltimore’s last three games, including the playoffs.

The Ravens are looking to clinch a win over the Chiefs to advance to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2012 season.
