Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton has been selected to the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, the NFL announced on Wednesday.

Hamilton garnered the most fan votes among all strong safeties in the AFC. The former Notre Dame standout has emerged as a do-it-all safety in his second season with the Ravens, tallying 81 total tackles to go along with a 38.4 passer rating allowed in coverage mark.

Hamilton is among seven Ravens players who have been named to this year's Pro Bowl Games, including Lamar Jackson and Tyler Linderbaum.

Hamilton set for a raise after Pro Bowl selection

As a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Hamilton has a fifth-year option in his rookie contract — and the value of it just increased by quite a bit.

According to Article 7, Section 7(g)(iii) of the 2020 CBA, a first-round pick who is selected to the Pro Bowl on the original ballot in any of his opening three seasons in the NFL will see his fifth-year option "equal the Transition Tender that applies in the League Year that is the fourth year of the Rookie’s Contract." Hamilton, as with Linderbaum, met this threshold. In Hamilton's case, he is on par for a potential raise between $3.5 million and $6 million on his fifth-year option, as noted by Over The Cap.

The transition tag for safeties in 2024 is projected to be set at $13.949 million — the lowest among all defensive positions.

If Hamilton goes on to make the Pro Bowl on the original ballot next season, then the value of his fifth-year option would equate to the franchise tender.

It sure would not be a surprise to see Hamilton be named to an All-Pro team for the first time in his career later this month.
