Contestants are stranded in a remote location with little more than the clothes on their back, a huge sack of rice, one luxury item each, and a bevy of camera crews. Every three days (or one episode), a contestant is voted off; the lone survivor of this process takes home a million dollars. The contestants start off divided into two teams that compete against each other, with the losing team forced to vote a member off; when the numbers are reduced to 10 contestants, the teams merge and it's everyone for himself. — IMDb
Survivor 47
During the current season, Baltimore Ravens legend Ray Lewis got a honorable nod from one contestant on the episode released on November 13th.
Gabe Ortis, the winner of the immunity challenge for this week's episode, broke out Lewis' signature move in celebration.
The win for Ortis helped turn the tides for the elimination vote for the episode as well. He was a potential vote-getter, but with immunity, Gabe was safe from elimination until the next vote.
Ortis is from Baltimore and currently resides there, too. He is 26 years old.
In the end, Gabe won, breaking Kyle’s seemingly unstoppable immunity-idol winning streak… which was not really a streak to begin with because two people beat him in one of the challenges, even though everyone wants to pretend like they didn’t. And Gabe celebrated as only a son of Baltimore would, by performing Ray Lewis’ trademark “Squirrel Dance.”…
A to Z Sports' own Sam Phalen is a current contestant on Survivor 47 as well.
