The Baltimore Ravens may not be done just yet in making roster moves before the start of the playoffs.

CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson noted on Wednesday that the Ravens are one team that "may have potential interest" in signing running back Dalvin Cook to their practice squad.

Anderson added that at the moment, the Ravens do not have an opening on their practice squad. Safety Jeremy Lucien filled the last available spot on Baltimore’s 16-man practice squad on Wednesday.

Cook and the New York Jets mutually agreed to part ways on Tuesday. Cook gave the green light to the Jets to restructure his contract to forfeit any remaining guarantees.

The Jets signed Cook in August, which came following the running back's six-year run with the Minnesota Vikings. The four-time Pro Bowler did not emerge as much of an X-factor in the Jets offense. He featured in a mere 202 total snaps on the offensive side of the ball, and he tallied career lows across the board, including in yards from scrimmage (292).

Ravens' potent depth at the running back position

The Ravens currently do not have an urgent need for a running back. Gus Edwards and Justice Hill have anchored Baltimore’s No. 1 ranked rush offense this season. Baltimore has also called on Melvin Gordon, who has filled in for Keaton Mitchell since the rookie suffered a season-ending knee injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars last month.

The Ravens also have a pair of running backs in Jake Funk and Owen Wright on their practice squad.

Overall, Cook has logged 8,079 yards from scrimmage in 88 career games played in the NFL.
