The Baltimore Ravens have ruled out Zay Flowers from their home matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team announced on Saturday.
Flowers has been dealing with a calf injury suffered during the Ravens’ road win over the San Francisco 49ers. The nagging ailment did not keep him out of Baltimore’s home game against the Miami Dolphins, as he went on to tally three receptions for 106 receiving yards in the contest.
The Ravens took a conservative route with Flowers’ injury this past week, as they did not allow him to feature in any of their practice sessions. Baltimore ultimately handed him a game status designation of doubtful for Week 18.
With the Ravens now opting to sideline Flowers against Pittsburgh, quarterback Tyler Huntley is expected to call on the likes of Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor to step up in the rookie’s absence.
The Ravens will also be without Kyle Hamilton in Week 18. The second-year safety has been nursing a knee injury as of late.
