The Baltimore Ravens activated Kenyan Drake from the practice squad for their Week 3 home matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced on Saturday.

Drake signed with the Ravens’ practice squad on Wednesday. He was one of three running backs whom Baltimore worked out on the day, and in the end, the current AFC North leaders opted for a reunion with the seventh-year veteran.

"He's talented," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said of Drake on Wednesday. "You've seen him. He was in [training] camp [and] in preseason there [with the Indianapolis Colts]. He's fast. He's an athletic guy. [He] catches balls out of the backfield. [He's] probably a real good fit in this offense."

Drake recorded 482 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in 12 regular season games played with Baltimore last year.

As both J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) and Justice Hill (foot) will be unavailable for Week 3, the Ravens also elevated Melvin Gordon from the practice squad. Gus Edwards is still slated to lead Baltimore’s ground game against the Colts.

The Ravens further noted that linebacker Jeremiah Moon was signed to their 53-man roster. They also released Josh Johnson, so Tyler Huntley will serve as Lamar Jackson’s backup at the quarterback position on Sunday. According to CBS Sports' Josina Anderson, Baltimore is "expected to bring back" Johnson.

Baltimore is eyeing a 3-0 start for the first time since the 2016 season.
