Mark Andrews is closing in on reaching yet another impressive feat with the Baltimore Ravens.
Andrews starred in the Ravens’ 38-6 home win over the Detroit Lions in Week 7. The three-time Pro Bowler was all over the field in the contest, as he finished with four receptions for 63 receiving yards and two touchdown catches against the current NFC North leaders.
Overall, Andrews has tallied 39 total receiving touchdowns with Baltimore.
As noted by NFL Communications, Andrews is just one touchdown catch away from becoming the fourth tight end ever to log at least 40 receiving scores in his first six seasons in the league. Rob Gronkowski (65 receiving touchdowns), Jimmy Graham (53) and Antonio Gates (51) are the only other tight ends in NFL history to achieve this feat.
Andrews has reached the end zone five times this season, and he is well on his way to setting a new career-high in touchdown catches. He recorded 10 touchdown receptions in the 2019 season, which still stands today as his career-high.
In the big picture, Andrews and the Ravens are looking to pick up a win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8 to remain in first place in the AFC North standings.
