Ravens' Marlon Humphrey lands on NFL's Top 100 list

One thing the Baltimore Ravens have prided themselves on for two decades is defense. Last year was another excellent showing on that side of the ball as Baltimore finished third against the run, third in points allowed, and 10th in total defense.
It wouldn't take anyone long to get to cornerback Marlon Humphrey's name when it came to who was given the most credit for that performance. Humphrey registered his second-most tackles (71) and tied his career-high in interceptions (3) in 2022.
There's no greater respect any athlete can get than that of his peers. Humphrey was given his flowers on Monday as he was ranked No.92 on the NFL's Top 100 list for 2023 which is voted on by the players.
After not making the Top 100 in 2022, Humphrey is back on the list after a Pro Bowl season. The Ravens' all-around cornerback snagged three interceptions, recorded three sacks and logged four QB hits this past campaign. With Marcus Peters (currently a free agent) no longer in Baltimore, Humphrey could be lining up against No. 1 wide receivers more often this season. –Christian Gonzales, NFL.com
Humphrey put together back-to-back Pro Bowl campaigns in 2019 and 2020. So last season was pretty much a reminder of how good of a player he is.
When looking deeper into it, though, Humphrey was playing good football in 2021 before suffering a season-ending pectoral injury that December. He still finished with 58 tackles, an interception, 13 pass breakups, and a forced fumble so without that injury, Humphrey likely has another Pro Bowl nod on his resume.
Consistency is key in the game of football and as long as he's available, Humphrey provides just that. So it won't be any surprise if he finds himself on this list again a year from now.
