The Detroit Lions’ well-rounded front seven failed to contain Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 7.

The Lions entered Week 7 with 15 sacks on the season, with 4.5 of them coming from defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson. In their 38-6 loss to Baltimore, they failed to sack Jackson and also logged a mere one quarterback hit.

Detroit also watched as Jackson had his way on the ground, including on his 7-yard touchdown run that opened up the scoring for Baltimore in the first quarter.

Hutchinson, who recorded four total tackles in the contest, singled out Jackson’s sheer versatility on the field as the reason why the sixth-year passer enjoyed much success on the day.

"He’s good," Hutchinson said after the game. "That's what makes him great. He’s got great pocket awareness, and if that pocket is not crushing and closing, he can find a way out."

Hutchinson also noted that at the end of the day, Detroit’s defense lacked "execution" against Baltimore.

The Lions will now look ahead to a home matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8, while the Ravens will square off with the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
