The Baltimore Ravens’ No. 1 ranked defense will be put to the test in the AFC title game. The Kansas City Chiefs feature multiple versatile talents on the offensive side of the ball, including Isiah Pacheco.
Pacheco has managed to build on his potent rookie campaign. The second-year running back led all Chiefs players in multiple stats in the regular season this year, from yards from scrimmage (1,179) to total touchdowns (nine).
Pacheco took his game to another level in Kansas City’s AFC divisional round win over the Buffalo Bills, tallying 114 total yards and one rushing touchdown.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh sees quite a dynamic running back in Pacheco.
"Then, No. 10 Pacheco, that guy is coming downhill," Harbaugh said during a press conference on Monday. "He’s hitting it that way, all out. He’s 225 pounds. His knees are up high. He’s rolling, and it’s going to be a big challenge for us to deal with him, because he’s as physical as a runner as there is in the league. [He’s] as determined as there is, and we’re going to have to be a physical, determined defense to tackle him."
Harbaugh is hoping to see Baltimore’s front seven get the last laugh against Pacheco in the AFC title game.
"I like our guys," Harbaugh said. "I like our guys’ chances. Our guys will be up for it, and we’re going to have to be, because he’s a good runner."
The Ravens logged a 109.4 rushing yards allowed per game average in the regular season.
