The Ravens’ 38-6 win over the Detroit Lions must have been a sigh of relief for Baltimore's offensive unit. After weeks of talk over whether the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens offense would meet the high expectations that were placed on them ahead of the season, the group responded with quite a prolific performance.

For Jackson, he is not completely satisfied after the Ravens' 32-point win on the day. When asked during his postgame press conference about why he did not "seem very happy" following such an efficient showing, Jackson made it clear that at the end of the day, he has bigger goals in mind.

"I believe, when you’re playing regular season games, you should be OK," Jackson said. “We’re winning. I’m alright with winning, but still it’s [the] regular season.

"We made strides for improvement last week and earlier in the season. I believe we did, but it’s just one regular season game."

Jackson’s sheer demeanor and response to the question sure can have one reminisce about Kobe Bryant's famed "Mamba Mentality." For one, Bryant famously used the line “Job’s not finished” when he was asked why he did not look "happy" after the Los Angeles Lakers built a 2-0 series lead over the Orlando Magic in the 2009 NBA Finals.

Jackson is always striving to improve wherever possible, which is just the mindset that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh wants him to have.

"I don’t even think he’s that happy with the game," Harbaugh said during his postgame press conference. "When I see him in the locker room right now, it’s not like he’s all giddy in there. He’s thinking about the plays that he could have had. He’s thinking about the plays he wants to get better at.

"That’s how all our guys are thinking right now. That’s how they should be thinking."

The Ravens are currently playing their best football this season, and they will look to make it three wins in a row when they meet the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8.
