This season’s NFL MVP race is starting to heat up.

As has been the case all season long, there is no overwhelming favorite for the NFL MVP award. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is the current betting favorite to win the NFL’s most prestigious individual honor. Hurts boasts the best odds (+150) to take home the award, which is up from last week (+250). He is just coming off of a potent performance in Philadelphia’s home win against the Buffalo Bills in which he logged five total touchdowns.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is tied with Dallas Cowboys passer Dak Prescott (+600) for the third-best odds to be awarded the NFL MVP honor. Jackson led Baltimore to a road win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 12, while Prescott threw four touchdown passes in Dallas’ home victory against the Washington Commanders.

Jackson will soon have a crucial opportunity to boost his odds for the NFL MVP award. The Ravens will square off with the current AFC South leaders in the Jacksonville Jaguars on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 15. Jackson holds a 14-4 record as a starter in primetime games.

Jackson has recorded 18 total touchdowns and a 98.4 passer rating so far this year.
