Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and linebacker Roquan Smith were named to Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week for Week 5.
Jackson earned an overall player grade of 94.6 from PFF, which is his highest such mark this season. Jackson turned the ball over twice in Baltimore’s 17-10 road defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he did have quite a promising outing in the air. PFF noted that the sixth-year quarterback went 9-for-20 for 163 yards on throws targeted 10 or more yards downfield in the divisional contest, and he had five drops on such plays.
Jackson also received Offensive Player of the Week honors from PFF for Week 5.
PFF handed Smith an overall player grade of 91.3 for his showing in Week 5 — the highest such mark among qualified linebackers. Smith was all over the field in this edition of the Steelers and Ravens rivalry, from his 11 total tackles to the mere nine yards that he allowed in coverage.
Overall, Smith ranks in the top five in several stats so far this season, including in tackles (54).
Two other Ravens talents on the defensive side of the ball received a player grade of at least 70.0 from PFF for Week 5, including Kyle Hamilton (84.3).
