Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud put on a show in his playoff debut on Saturday.

Stroud led the way in the Texans’ 45-14 home win over the Cleveland Browns in the AFC wild-card round. The Browns, who finished regular season play ranking first in total yards allowed per game, did not have much of an answer for the former Ohio State standout throughout the contest.

Stroud ended up recording three touchdown passes to go along with a 157.2 passer rating against Cleveland.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson later took some time to watch Stroud’s performance against the Browns, and he came away with one takeaway from the rookie’s showing.

"He played better than I did," Jackson said during a press conference on Tuesday.

Jackson was referring to his own playoff debut five years ago. He struggled to get much going in the Ravens’ AFC wild-card round defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers, as he threw one interception and posted a lowly 78.8 passer rating on the day.

C.J. Stroud's impressive rookie campaign

In the big picture, Jackson has been left impressed with Stroud's first year in the NFL.

"That’s a guy you are going to see day in and day out," Jackson said. "[No.] 7 — he is throwing the ball all over the field. Even when one of his star receivers, Tank Dell, went down, he has still been making things happen with the guys he has."

Stroud is set to once again square off with the Ravens on Saturday. His lone meeting against Baltimore came back in Week 1 when he threw for 242 passing yards and notched a 78.0 passer rating.
