Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson just continues to make it look easy on the field.
Jackson orchestrated one astounding highlight-reel play during the third quarter of the Ravens’ road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Somehow, someway, Jackson evaded pressure from multiple Jaguars defenders on a crucial second down play and ended up delivering a 26-yard completion to tight end Isaiah Likely. Likely had to get up to haul in the football, but with his sheer size and strength, it came as no problem to him.
Not many quarterbacks in the NFL can pull off this play.
Likely has continued to blossom in the absence of Mark Andrews, who suffered an ankle injury during Baltimore’s home game against the Cincinnati Bengals last month. The second-year tight end has now recorded a receiving touchdown in back-to-back games, which include a 16-yard score against the Jaguars.
It is currently unknown whether Andrews will be cleared to return to action this season. If Andrews ends up being sidelined for the remainder of the year due to his ankle ailment, then the Ravens sure can count on Likely to continue to fill in for the three-time Pro Bowler.
