Marlon Humphrey had a game to forget in the Baltimore Ravens’ home win against the Los Angeles Rams.

Humphrey was targeted quite a bit by Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in the fourth quarter of the contest. The three-time Pro Bowler allowed a 19-yard catch to Demarcus Robinson and a 34-yard reception to Cooper Kupp on a drive that culminated with Rams kicker Lucas Havrisik connecting on a game-tying 36-yard field goal.

To make matters worse, Humphrey dropped what would have been a game-ending interception in the end zone.

According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Humphrey allowed a season-high 92 yards in coverage against the Rams.

After watching Humphrey’s sluggish outing in Week 14, Lamar Jackson had a simple message for him ahead of the Ravens’ road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"Shoot, he told me, 'Hey bro we need you to play better,' this past week," Humphrey said after the Ravens' win over the Jaguars.

Humphrey did have himself a bounce-back performance against the Jaguars. He covered multiple wideouts and helped Baltimore’s secondary not allow a single red zone touchdown to the Trevor Lawrence-led Jaguars offense.

Humphrey is now slated to be called on to cover Deebo Samuel or Brandon Aiyuk in Baltimore’s upcoming road clash with the San Francisco 49ers.
