The expectations were sky high for Odell Beckham Jr. when he signed off on a one-year deal worth up to $18 million with the Baltimore Ravens during the offseason.

The opening half of Beckham’s debut campaign in Baltimore has not gone as planned. From the multiple injuries that he has nursed to the goose egg under his touchdown tally, Beckham has not had much to go his way this season.

"Obviously, I’m not where I want to be, but when I signed here, I said I wanted to come here, win a Super Bowl and win, and we’re 6-2 and on the way to that, so just got to keep going," Beckham said on Thursday. "A long season."

Beckham is still yet to put together a vintage outing with Baltimore. His season-high for receiving yards in a game this year sits at 49, which came in Baltimore’s home win over the Detroit Lions last month. This is a far cry for a wideout who often logged such numbers in a single half during his standout days with the New York Giants and also the early portion of his run with the Cleveland Browns.

As Beckham continues to put his injury woes behind him, he hopes to soon orchestrate his first standout performance with the current AFC North leaders.

"It was very hard earlier in the season, with what I had going on just kind of unexpectedly, and it just was very hard to have that initial burst," Beckham said. "This is the National Football League; everybody is good, everybody is skilled, everybody is, there is a reason they’re here.

"And when you go out there, and you don’t feel like you’re 100, it’s very hard — with the things that are going on — just to be who I know I am. … Over time, it gets better and better and better, and again, it’s a long season. What — nine games left? God willing 10 games at least. So, you’ve just got to prepare for that."

Overall, Beckham has caught 14 passes for 162 receiving yards this season.
