In the days leading up to the Baltimore Ravens’ home matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, head coach John Harbaugh made clear that he did not want to see Aaron Donald have his way in Week 14. Harbaugh said last week that he wanted to "get as many people blocking him [Donald] as you can for as long as you can."
In the end, the Ravens had the last laugh over Donald.
Donald did not log a single sack or quarterback hit on Sunday. The Ravens regularly sent double teams and even triple teams in Donald’s way in order to prevent him from single-handedly winning the battle at the line of scrimmage.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson also made life difficult for Donald. There were a few instances during the game in which the veteran defensive tackle ended up reaching the backfield with ease, but Jackson wound up maneuvering his way out of pressure time and time again.
Donald tipped his hat to Jackson after the game.
"Just elusive," Donald said. "He’s so hard to get to. He just did a good job."
Overall, the Rams tallied five quarterback hits and two sacks against Jackson in the contest.
