Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson bolstered his career resume last Thursday, winning the 2023 AP NFL MVP award. Jackson became the 11th player in NFL history to win at least two NFL MVP honors.

At the moment, the odds do not favor Jackson winning the NFL MVP award in the 2024 season.

Early 2024 NFL MVP odds

According to the FanDuel Sportsbook, Jackson holds the fifth-best odds (+1200) to win the 2024 AP NFL MVP honor.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes boasts the best odds (+650) to take home the league’s most prestigious individual award next year. Mahomes entered this past season among the serious contenders to collect the award, but he ultimately finished in seventh place in the voting for it.

Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen (+800), Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow (+1000), and Houston Texans’ C.J. Stroud (+1100) are the lone other players who currently hold better odds than Jackson for next season’s NFL MVP award.

If Jackson is able to defy the odds and be awarded the 2024 NFL MVP, then he will become the seventh player ever to win the honor at least three times.
