Zay Flowers has blossomed as a go-to target for Lamar Jackson ever since he made his first appearance with the Baltimore Ravens.
Jackson targeted Flowers a total of 10 times during the Week 1 matchup between the Ravens and the Houston Texans. Flowers ended up tallying nine receptions for 78 receiving yards in his official NFL debut.
Flowers has since upped his play for the Ravens. Whether it has been as a downfield threat or as a contributor in the short passing game, the rookie wideout continues to add another dimension to Baltimore’s well-rounded offense.
Flowers sees that it has not only been his chemistry with Jackson that has evolved by the week, but the rest of the offense has grown as well.
"Everybody learning more as the season goes, and I just feel like we're getting better and better each week, where we're putting up more points, and everybody trusting each other," Flowers said ahead of the Ravens’ home playoff game against the Houston Texans.
"So, we came a long way, learned the plays, and now we're rolling."
Flowers is set to play in the biggest game of his career, as the Ravens will host the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round on Saturday. The former Boston College standout has been dealing with a calf ailment as of late, but the Ravens did not hand him any game status designation for the contest.
Baltimore is looking to clinch a spot in the AFC title game for the first time since the 2012 season.
