Patrick Ricard has made four consecutive Pro Bowls for the Baltimore Ravens as a fullback. However, he dipped his toes in some offensive line play last week.
That's not surprising when looking at Ricard's background because he also played some defensive tackle for the Ravens during his first three seasons, which speaks to how versatile he is. But he's had a change of heart and got back to fullback duties on Tuesday, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
"It’s late in camp, and he came to me the other day and said, ‘Hey, I want to get back in there, where I know what I'm doing and maybe this is something for next year,'" Harbaugh said.
Ricard's position flex is a valuable asset for sure. But with the start of the season approaching fast and his unfamiliarity with playing on the offensive line, this is probably the best route to go.
