The Baltimore Ravens have a very crowded running back room, so the guys on the lower end of the totem pole really need to stand out if they want to make the team.

Such is the case with rookie running back Keaton Mitchell. The undrafted free agent is doing everything he can to make his mark and he was doing just that on Monday Night Football before a shoulder injury ended his night early.

Fortunately, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, overnight tests concluded Mitchell suffered no more than a shoulder stinger, which is obviously great news.

The injury occurred after Mitchell ripped off a dazzling 31-yard run that showcased his burst and speed. The kid looked absolutely explosive while running down the sideline. He also recorded one reception for six-yards during the seven total offensive snaps for which he was on the field.

Unfortunately, the hit on that run is what took Mitchell out of the game for the rest of the night.

His status for Saturday's tilt with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will certainly be something to monitor throughout the week.
