Lamar Jackson has continued to up his play for the Baltimore Ravens this season.
Jackson has guided the Ravens to a six-game winning streak, with three such wins coming against teams that have clinched a playoff spot. The sixth-year passer is just coming off of back-to-back convincing performances over the San Francisco 49ers and the Miami Dolphins in which he combined for seven touchdown passes and a 145.3 passer rating.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has kept a watch on Jackson as of late, and he has been amazed at just how the one-time NFL MVP award winner has taken his game to another level.
"The quality of Lamar Jackson's play has been exceptional," Tomlin said during a press conference on Monday. "He's done an awesome job, not only of late but throughout the season. Just being at the controls of what they do offensively.
"The prudent use of mobility that he displays and the efficient use of mobility that he displays is spectacular. He's their leading rusher but he just does so in a really efficient manner. He doesn't absorb a lot of punishment. He knows how to play. He's talented and experienced."
The Steelers and the Ravens will square off in Week 18, and it is currently up in the air as to whether Jackson will feature in this contest. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh did note on Sunday that he has a feeling that Jackson is "going to want to play" in the divisional matchup.
Jackson has tallied four touchdown passes and seven interceptions in six career games played against the Steelers.
