Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins is continuing to make promising progress from his season-ending torn Achilles injury.
Dobbins took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday to share a video of himself taking part in a few sprinting drills.
It was less than six months ago that Dobbins tore his Achilles during the third quarter of Baltimore’s regular-season opener against the Houston Texans. He was ultimately sidelined for the remainder of the year.
Dobbins is set to hit free agency for the first time in his career next month. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Ravens have not shut down the possibility of re-signing the all-around running back in free agency.
"The door is open to potentially come back," Fowler said during a recent appearance on Pressbox’s "Glenn Clark Radio" show. "They’ve had a good relationship, they even were going to talk about an extension before he got hurt. So, it’s a player they value. But the injuries were severe enough where there probably has to be a little of a waiting period."
It is currently up in the air as to whether Dobbins will receive the green light to return to in-game action come Week 1 of the 2024 season.
Dobbins has recorded 1,524 yards from scrimmage over 24 regular season games played with the Ravens.
