After doing their due diligence, the Ravens decided that Houston-Carson was worthy of getting a deal, per Brad Briggs of the Chicago Tribune.

Houston-Carson was a sixth-round pick out of William & Mary in 2016 by the Chicago Bears and spent his first seven seasons in the Windy City. He played most safety but also some cornerback for the Bears and logged 139 tackles, three interceptions, eight pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 94 games with nine starts.

That's not his bread and butter, though. For most of his career, Houston-Carson has been a special teams ace as he's logged 1,800 snaps there as opposed to 996 as a defensive back.

Baltimore shouldn't be done adding depth in the secondary before the season starts.
