Just three days after making him their franchise player, the Baltimore Ravens committed to defensive tackle Justin Madubuike for the long run.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Madubuike is signing on for four years and $98 million, including $75.5 million in total guarantees, and $53.5 million guaranteed at signing. The deal ensures that Madubuike will be a cornerstone on the defensive side of the ball in Baltimore for a long time.

Justin Madubuike signed a long-term contract extension with Ravens

Madubuike was given the franchise tender by the Ravens on Tuesday, which would've counted over $22 million against the cap. This multi-year deal not only rewards Madubuike with the deal he deserves, but it's all but surely going to lower his 2024 salary cap hit. The Ravens were 10,032,381 OVER the salary cap limit entering Friday.

Ravens GM Eric DeCosta released the following statement.

"We are pleased to announce a four-year extension with Justin Madubuike. Justin is one of the best defensive tackles in the entire NFL and a cornerstone on our defense.

We are thrilled for Justin and his family and equally happy for our fanbase. This is a great way to start the new league year."

A former third-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, the 26-year-old Madubuike has become a key piece on the Baltimore defense. He's appeared in 59 career games with 47 starts across four seasons. He has 153 career total tackles, 21.5 sacks and 29 tackles for loss in that span. Madubuike led all NFL interior defensive lineman with 13 sacks in 2023.
