The Baltimore Ravens are likely not yet over their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in last month’s AFC title game. At the least, many Ravens players sure came away from the game with an increased respect for Patrick Mahomes — and even more so after watching him take care of business in Super Bowl 58.

Mahomes and the Chiefs secured their third Super Bowl win in five seasons on Sunday, coming away with a 25-22 victory against the San Francisco 49ers in overtime. Mahomes delivered when it mattered the most in Super Bowl 58, anchoring a combined five scoring drives in the second half and overtime.

Ravens linebacker Patrick Queen did not want to see the Chiefs come away victorious against the 49ers, but as he touched on X after the game, he can at the least applaud Mahomes for his heroic performance in the contest.

"Hate that the chiefs won but you gotta respect mahomes bruh boy got it," Queen wrote on X.

Queen and the Ravens did have their way against the Mahomes-led Chiefs offense in the AFC Championship Game. The Ravens allowed a mere three scoring drives to the Chiefs, but what ultimately decided this highly anticipated contest was the keen play from Kansas City’s defense against the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens offense.

The Chiefs will host the Ravens for a regular season matchup in the 2024 campaign.
