Veteran outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone in the face against Kansas City, first reported by Steve Wyche of NFL Network.
Baltimore is already down rookie pass rusher Adisa Isaac, who is out with a hamstring injury. Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo are now the top two pass rushers for the Baltimore defense for any time that Van Noy could miss. Both players had some good moments against the Chiefs.
Van Noy is coming off of a career-high nine sacks in season No. 10 last year. Now, the Ravens are going to need depth to step up as well. Tavius Robinson is another young player who will be asked to step up. Depending on the time that needs to be missed, the Ravens could look to make an outside move.
It is an unfortunate first game for the Ravens on the road. It was an emotional loss with how things ended and now they are down a starter due to injury. In the final seconds, Lamar Jackson found tight end Isaiah Likely but he was just out of bounds and the game ended. Baltimore will play the Las Vegas Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Cincinnati Bengals over the next four games.
