It did not take long for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy to become one of the most polarizing players in the NFL today.
There continues to be constant debate over just how much credit Purdy deserves for the 49ers’ success over the last two seasons. Some believe that Purdy has defined valuable to San Francisco, while others continue to downplay his true value to the 49ers’ high-octane offense.
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey is among those who do not understand why many still have their share of doubt about Purdy. Humphrey recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his mind on this matter.
On the field, Purdy has continued to take care of business. He had his way in the regular season this past year, recording 31 touchdown passes to go along with a league-high 113.0 passer rating. He went on to finish in fourth place in the voting for the 2023 AP NFL MVP award.
Purdy does not seem to be fazed at all by what Humphrey describes as the "hate" that he has received, and the 49ers sure hope that this will carry on into the passer's upcoming third year in the league.
Ravens would be wise to not let a key Lamar Jackson weapon walk in free agency
Should be an easy call.
