The Baltimore Ravens saw their 24-game preseason win streak become a thing of the past with a 29-28 loss to the Washington Commanders on Monday.

As is the case with any game, there were positives and negatives to decipher from. I picked out three winners and two losers from the Ravens' side of things.

Let's get into the winners first.

Ravens Winners

Zay Flowers, WR

The first-round pick continues to impress. On Monday, Flowers saw the end zone for the first time with a spectacular 26-yard reception in which he used field vision and speed to slither through would-be tacklers.

Flowers has been a matchup nightmare in one-on-one battles during training camp, using his route route-running savvy to leave defenders with broken ankles on many occasions. He's establishing himself as WR1 in Baltimore.

Josh Johnson, QB

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Johnson didn’t have the best game against the Philadelphia Eagles last week with just 45 yards through the air. However, he completed 10 of his 12 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns versus the Commanders. He threw one to Flowers, and the other came via a back shoulder throw to Tylan Wallace.

This performance certainly helped Johnson in the battle for backup quarterback duties behind Lamar Jackson.

Ar’Darius Washington, CB

Washington was credited for seven tackles (tied for team lead) and three pass breakups playing mostly in the nickel corner position.

Baltimore has several cornerbacks who are battling back from injuries. With one preseason game left for the Ravens, Washington's performance came right on time as he looks to carve out a role.

Ravens Losers

Tavius Robinson, LB

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Robinson is in his rookie campaign. So, there are expected growing pains. However, he didn’t have any real impact as far as getting pressure with just one quarterback hit against the Commanders.

Baltimore is expected to rely heavily on Robinson although it's his first year. But he needs to show some spark for there to be any real confidence he can be trusted.

Trenton Simpson, LB

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Simpson has been battling a soft tissue injury that kept him out of the Ravens’ first preseason game. The stat sheet for Simpson didn’t look too shabby with three tackles and a sack. However, there was some bad.

The third-round pick missed a plethora of tackles, resembling the play of a first-year defender looking to adjust to the NFL game. He'll get another chance on Saturday in the Ravens' preseason finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to get some valuable reps under his belt.

Baltimore hasn't gotten a lot from their pass rush during the preseason, and the cornerback position needs to look a lot better and needs to get healthy. However, the running back and tight ends look to be ready to go.

The Ravens will now look to fine-tune some things against the Buccaneers this weekend before getting ready for the regular season.
