The Baltimore Ravens became the first AFC team to clinch a spot in this season's NFL playoffs.

The Ravens entered their road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in need of a win in the contest to lock up a playoff berth, and they did just that. The current AFC North leaders cruised to a 23-7 win to secure a playoff spot for the second straight year.

As expected, there are not many Ravens players who are jumping for joy at the fact that the team officially clinched a playoff berth. For one, Roquan Smith sees that the job is far from finished for Baltimore.

"That’s the vision starting at the beginning of the year — win the division, make the playoffs," Smith said after the game. "We’re just getting started. We’re happy about it, but we’re not satisfied. … Obviously, I had friends and family that say things to me like, 'If you guys win, you guys are in the playoffs.'

"I hear that, but it’s big time. Love being in the playoffs, but that’s part of it. We’re not done."

As with Smith, Lamar Jackson has much bigger goals in mind for this season.

"I didn’t know we clinched the playoffs," Jackson said after the game. “I'm just trying to win. I’m trying to get there. I’m trying to win a game at a time, but I’m grateful for it. I’m grateful for the opportunity."

The Ravens will next look to win the AFC North title for the first time since the 2019 campaign. They currently hold a 2.0-game lead over the Cleveland Browns atop the division standings.
