One of the biggest stars of the Baltimore Ravens is doing something truly unique for the team's fan base.
The NFL passed a rule in March that allowed all position groups except for offensive and defensive linemen to wear the No. 0. So, Smith decided to switch his jersey to that number from the No. 18 that he has been wearing.
This certainly put fans of Smith in quite a predicament, seeing as they had to get a new jersey now to properly represent him. Well, Smith has chosen to make it easier on Ravens fans by holding a jersey exchange at Jimmy's Famous Seafood in Baltimore.
How cool is this?
Let's just be all the way honest. Some people just don't have the means to purchase things whenever they want to. So, for Smith to give back in this manner is very special to see.
"I look at the No. 0 as a new beginning — continuing to build a foundation of greatness with the start of a new season," Smith said about his jersey switch. "A strong and solid foundation is what you must have before anything else, and you must be willing to work for what comes next. This is my first start of a season with the Ravens, and I see no better number that represents that journey to greatness."
Now, Ravens can feel more of a part of that journey.
