The Baltimore Ravens came away with a convincing 37-3 home win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9. Baltimore tallied a season-high 298 rushing yards in the contest, and its No. 1 ranked defense allowed a 3.2 yards per play average.

Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe tuned in to watch Baltimore’s statement victory against Seattle. Sharpe was left in awe of the Ravens’ performance on the day, and he believes that they are the clear-cut best team in the AFC.

"They're the best team in the AFC, and it's not even close," Sharpe said during a recent appearance on ESPN’s "Get Up" program. "Not only can they run the football, but Lamar Jackson is throwing the football extremely well. Odell Beckham got into the end zone [Sunday]; those young receivers are starting to come along; we know what Mark Andrews is.

"But defensively, they're getting back to playing 2000 Ravens football. When you give up less than 14 points in today's NFL, that's saying something."

As Sharpe touched on, no team has had any answer for Baltimore’s defense this season. The Ravens currently lead the NFL in a multitude of defensive stats, from points per game allowed (13.8) to sacks (35).

The Ravens will next meet a Cleveland Browns team in Week 10 that boasts a 22.6 points per game average.
