Thursday was a terrific win for the Baltimore Ravens over the Cincinnati Bengals in a very close AFC North battle. The Ravens swept the Bengals and now the Pittsburgh Steelers stand as a tall task for Baltimore.
In Week 11, the Ravens will be on the road to take on the Steelers (7-2) in a very important battle in the AFC North standings. Pittsburgh is coming off a great win against the Washington Commanders.
Following the win against the Commanders, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin made sure to make it a point that Lamar Jackson is one-of-one in the NFL when he didn’t have to. Tomlin was asked about Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels perhaps being similar to Jackson in terms of playing style.
“Man, be real slow comparing people to Lamar Jackson,” Tomlin said to reporters. “That’s a multi-time MVP. That’s Mr. Jackson. We’ll see Mr. Jackson in a few days.”
Tomlin knows that Jackson is a tall task to match up with and will offer a tough game to his defense to defend. It is the first time these two teams will play this season, so the Steelers have yet to play Jackson while he has running back Derrick Henry lined up beside him.
Jackson looks like he may run away with the league’s MVP once again this season. He is completing 69 percent of his passes for 267 yards per game, and a 24-2 touchdown to interception ratio. Jackson is well on his way to his third MVP and he is on track to put up his best season ever.
Tomlin was quick to let the reporter know that Jackson is on a different level and no one else in the league is on his level of play as a dual-threat quarterback. Sunday’s matchup between the AFC North’s best two teams will be a battle.
